I grew up babysitting E and her sisters through high school and college and was so excited when she contacted me to shoot her wedding. I can’t fully express what a sweet and beautiful day this was. L and E’s love, joy, and kindness were apparent in every moment!
How gorgeous is this couple? We spent the early evening wandering around the Arnold Arboretum. A few months later I had the privilege of shooting their wedding. Those photos are coming.

Even though I lived 5 minutes away from this museum for many years, I had never been. They have expanded over the past few years and I had a great time exploring the inside and outside the museum with this sweet family. It has been so much fun to see how much these little guys have grown between photoshoots.

I'm a teacher and a photographer, so my free hours to update this blog are limited. Christmas Break is the perfect time to catch up on 9 months of photo shoots! Here are some of my favorites.
We'll start with the H family. This is our 6th year of family photos in November. (Check out how this sweet family has grown over the years here, here, and here.) This year, our "fall" photo shoot felt a bit more wintery, but the girls were such great sports even on this very chilly day! I'm looking forward to year 7 :-)!
I've worked with M before, and love how she is so thoughtful about planning and capturing special moments (see here). So when she told me her mom was in town for an extended visit, we both agreed a mother-daughter photo shoot was in order. We had a great time wandering and exploring the Boston Common, and the connection and sense of fun these two share was so evident.
It's been a year of Baby B! This boy has grown so much before our eyes, and he has a large community of aunties and uncles to love and celebrate him this year (see here for a throwback). He's certainly the most adorable #squadbaby of all! It was a wonderful wild rumpus of a party!
Oh how I wish you all lived closer! A week wasn't enough! L, please convince your mom and dad to move back to Boston :-), Love Aunt Kate.
One of the joys of being a photographer is that my work becomes a chance to connect with more and more friends and neighbors, as each client brings me into their extended family. This family is no exception. I met D and K while shooting D's sister's wedding, just a few short months before J's impending arrival was announced. It was great to spend part of a glorious fall afternoon with them running, playing, and highlighting Mr. J's personality.
For many years, I got to teach alongside this other fun redhead, who introduced me to her hilarious brother and sister-in-law! I'm so glad she did! Although C has moved away (but is coming back soon - right?!), Q and A continue to hold down the Boston contingent of their family, adding O and now another new little one coming soon. O has grown so much since the last time I saw him. It was fun to spend part of an afternoon with this fun family!
It's engagement season, and I am beyond excited for these two wonderful friends! When A introduced us to T last year, we knew pretty soon she was the one (and, obviously, he did too!) We laughed our way through the Boston Garden and Beacon Hill, and I know there will be a lot more laughter in the days and years to come. Congratulations, dear friends!

On a chilly day in July I met the W's at Malibu Beach. Little E and Z were such a great sports in the very uncharacteristically cold weather.
